Is Aerospace Mastery Academy a flight school? Do you train pilots on aircraft?

No. AMA is a professional aviation training academy, not a flying school. We do not offer PPL, CPL or aircraft type ratings. Our catalogue covers air traffic services, AIM/CNS, flight dispatcher, cabin crew, RPAS, safety/human performance and simulator-engineer courses.

Are your programmes aligned with NCAA / ICAO requirements?

Courses are planned to ICAO-aligned professional standards and, where a Nigerian regulation applies (for example Nig.CARs Part 2 for flight dispatchers), that requirement is built into the planning basis. Confirm the current approval status of the specific course you want with our admissions team.

Twenty-two courses across seven departments: Air Traffic Services (Basic ATC through radar, plus simulator instructor and pseudo-pilot), Simulator & Technical Training, AIM/CNS, Flight Operations (dispatcher), Safety & Human Performance, RPAS and Cabin Crew. How long is the Basic Air Traffic Control Course?

AMA-ATS-001 is planned at 12 weeks and 480 scheduled contact hours (40 hours per week), split into knowledge, practical and assessment. Specialised ratings such as Aerodrome Control (8 weeks) or Surveillance/Radar Control (10 weeks) follow after the foundation.

How much does training cost?

Fees are quoted in Naira and vary by course. Contact admissions for a current quote and installment plan. There are no published prices on this site, and no aircraft hourly charges because we do not operate a training fleet.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Fees can be split into milestone-based installments across your course, all payable in Naira. Corporate, airport-authority and family sponsorship arrangements are welcome.

Will you help me get a job after graduation?

We provide application coaching, interview practice and introductions where we have relationships with ATS units, airlines, airports and RPAS operators. Placement is not guaranteed — hiring depends on vacancies, medicals and the regulator's licensing process for your discipline.

Can I train while working?

Short courses (SMS, SRM, HF/TRM, AVSEC, RPAS foundation, recurrent cabin crew) are designed as compact blocks. Full-time streams such as Basic ATC, specialised ATC ratings, dispatcher initial and cabin crew initial require regular weekday attendance at the planning-basis hours.

Where is the academy located?

Our campus is in Zaria, Kaduna State — Nigeria's historic home of aviation training — with on-campus hostel accommodation and access from Abuja and Kaduna.

What medical or fitness requirements apply?

Accepted Answer

Requirements depend on the course. ATC streams typically require medical fitness for control duties; cabin crew require fitness for cabin duties (and swimming/reach standards where an operator specifies them); RPAS follows the medical standard for the privilege sought. We are not a flight-training organisation and do not use PPL/CPL Class 1 or Class 2 medicals as a blanket entry rule. Admissions will confirm the standard for your chosen course.
